In The Witcher timeline, the game takes place long before Geralt of Rivia's saga, likely so as not to be bogged down with the series' lore. However, there are equipment and items, as the gameplay trailer shows a merchant handing the player a potion in AR, and screenshots have shown off a variety of swords. Players take on the role of a Witcher in their own tale, although it hasn't been revealed if you'll get to customize your character like Pokémon GO's trainers. This AR game features a story where players are at the center. From trailer footage, we can see the assets come from The Witcher 3. Information about the game has only just been released, but so far, it looks like a cross between a more traditional RPG and The Witcher were encountering a monster means a battle and there are quests to be had. It'll be a fun new way to enjoy a walk in the park for fans of The Witcher.
